You do not have to give us any data to browse the site, and refusing cookies changes nothing in what you can see. We make no decision about you by automated means alone.

Journalists, talent and media contacts

If you work in the media or in fashion and design, we may hold your professional details to send you news, invitations, press material and sample loans about our clients. We collect them from you directly, from your publication’s masthead or website, from your public professional profiles, from industry directories and from introductions by our clients. We do not buy contact lists. Every message we send links to this policy and lets you stop receiving them, which we do at once. We share only what a specific campaign needs, such as a guest list or a delivery address, with the client concerned.

Events

We use guests’ details to send invitations and practical information and to manage access. Photos and video may be taken at events we organise, and a notice at the entrance says so. If you prefer not to appear, tell our staff and we will avoid or remove you where practicable. People who are filmed or interviewed individually are asked for their consent first. Event images may be shared with the client concerned and with the press.

Who receives your data

  • Sulture, which manages our website, and Hetzner Online GmbH, which hosts it in Germany, as our processors.
  • Google Ireland Limited, for our email (Google Workspace) and, after your consent, Google Analytics, as our processor.
  • Meta Platforms Ireland Limited. Metis and Meta are joint controllers for collecting your data on our site and sending it to Meta, and Meta alone is responsible for what it does afterwards (Meta’s terms).
  • The providers of the software we use to manage contacts and send emails, as our processors.
  • Clients, venues, couriers and event suppliers, only with the data a specific campaign, event or sample loan needs.
  • Our accountants, legal advisers and public authorities, where the law requires it.

We never sell personal data.

Transfers outside the European Union

Google and Meta may process data in the United States. These transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, under which both companies are certified, and on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses. You can ask us for a copy of the safeguards.

How we protect your data

Only people who need your data for their work can access it. The site is served over an encrypted connection and hosted in the European Union.

Your rights

Under Articles 15 to 22 GDPR you can ask us to access, correct or delete your data, to limit its use, or to receive it in a portable format. You can object at any time to any use based on our legitimate interest, including as a media contact. You can withdraw your consent at any time, for cookies through the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page, without affecting what happened before.

Write to privacy@metispr.com. We answer within one month, or tell you within that month if a complex request needs up to two more. You can also complain to the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, Piazza Venezia 11, 00187 Roma (garanteprivacy.it).
